Tomato-Garlic Bread with Ham

  • 1 garlic clove, halved
  • 4 slices soft white bread
  • 2 tomatoes, 1 halved and 1 thinly sliced
  • 150 g (5 oz) finely sliced ham
  • 75 g (3 oz) Manchego cheese, sliced

Rub the cut faces of the garlic all over the bread, concentrating particularly on the crusts. Repeat with the tomato halves.

Sandwich the bread with the ham, cheese and sliced tomato. Halve and wrap securely. The sandwiches can be kept in the refrigerator for 1 day.
