Steamed Rice with Sage

prep 5 mins + 1 hour steeping time cook 20 mins
  • 200 g (7 oz) long-grain rice
  • 4 sage leaves
  • salt and pepper

Place the rice in a large bowl and cover with cold water. Leave to steep for at least 1 hour, then drain.

Place water in the lower compartment of a steamer, add the sage leaves and bring to simmering point. Place the rice in the top compartment. Cover and cook for around 20 minutes. Season and serve hot.
