Smoothie, Cocktail and Juice

  • 1 beetroot, about 125 g (4 oz)
  • 1 banana
  • 85 g (3¼ oz) strawberries, plus extra to decorate
  • 60 g (2¼ oz) raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon flaked almonds
  • 300 ml (½ pint) milk
  • ice cubes

Juice the beetroot. Peel the banana.

Transfer the beetroot juice and banana to a food processor or blender, add the berries, almonds and milk and process until smooth.

Pour the smoothie into 2 tall glasses over ice, decorate with strawberries and serve immediately.
