Smoothie, Cocktail and Juice

  • 50 g (2 oz) green pepper
  • 50 g (2 oz) celery
  • 90 g (3 oz) carrot
  • 25 g (1 oz) spinach
  • 25 g (1 oz) onion
  • 90 g (3 oz) cucumber
  • 50 g (2 oz) tomatoes, plus extra to serve (optional)
  • sea salt and pepper

Core and deseed the pepper. Trim the celery and cut it into 5 cm (2 inch) lengths. Juice the carrot, spinach, onion, cucumber and tomato with the pepper and celery, taking care that the spinach leaves do not clog the machine.

Pour the juice into a glass and season with sea salt and black pepper. Decorate with tomato quarters, if liked, and serve immediately.
