Pizza Faces

  • 4 mini pizza bases
  • 300 g (10 oz) ready-made pizza sauce
  • 8 thin slices of salami or pepperoni
  • 75 g (3 oz) mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 4 pitted black olives, halved
  • 2 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 4 small strips of green pepper
  • 8 strips of red pepper
  • Place the pizza bases on a baking sheet and spread the pizza topping over each one, leaving a small border around the edge.
  • Place 2 slices of salami or pepperoni on each pizza for eyes, sprinkle with a little mozzarella and place a black olive half in the centre of each one. Add half a cherry tomato for the nose and a strip of green pepper for the mouth.
  • Place the red pepper slices at the top for ears, then sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella for hair.
  • Bake in a preheated oven, 200°C (400°F), Gas Mark 6, for 10–15 minutes until golden. Serve warm.
