Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets, then place on a baking sheet and drizzle over 2 tablespoons of the oil and season well. Place in a preheated oven, 190°C (375°F), Gas Mark 5, for 20 minutes or until soft and beginning to char all over.
Add the garlic and chilli, return to the oven and cook for a further 2 minutes until they are lightly browned.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a large saucepan of salted boiling water according to the pack instructions until al dente. Drain and return to the pan. Stir in the grated lemon rind and add lemon juice to taste.
Tip in the cooked broccoli, garlic and chilli, then season. Stir through the remaining oil and serve immediately.
