Meals and Courses

  • 100 g (3 1/2 oz) honey
  • 150 g (5 oz) rolled oats
  • 25 g (1 oz) flaked almonds
  • 25 g (1 oz) sunflower seeds
  • 25 g (1 oz) golden raisins
  • 25 g (1 oz) dried cranberries
  • 10 g (1/3 oz) chopped hazelnuts
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • natural yogurt
  • fresh fruit
  • Melt the honey in a large saucepan over a low heat for 1–2 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and mix together thoroughly.
  • Spread the mixture out on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven, 180°C (350°F), Gas Mark 4, for 10–12 minutes until starting to turn golden. Stir the granola, turning it over a little, then return to the oven for a further 4–5 minutes.
  • Pour on to a cool tray or into a large bowl and leave to cool. Store in an airtight container.
  • Serve with natural yogurt and fresh fruit.
