Mustard Rarebit-Style Pork Chops

  • 4 pork chops
  • oil, for greasing
  • 50 g (2 oz) Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons crème fraîche
  • 1 tablespoon wholegrain mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • green beans
  • new potatoes
  • Put the pork chops on a lightly greased baking sheet, season to taste and cook in a preheated oven, 200°C (400°F), Gas Mark 6, for 15 minutes.
  • Mix together the cheese, crème fraîche and mustard. Spread a little over the top of each pork chop and return to the oven for 2 minutes or until the topping has just melted. Serve with new potatoes and green beans.
