Honey Roast Figs

prep 5 mins cook 20 mins
  • 6 ripe fresh figs
  • 1 tablespoon clear honey
  • grated rind and juice 1 orange
  • pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons crème fraîche
  • 1 tablespoon chopped mint

Cut a deep cross in each fig and place them in an ovenproof dish.

Mix together the honey, orange rind and juice and cinnamon and pour over the figs. Cook in a preheated oven, 190°C (375°F), Gas Mark 5, for about 20 minutes or until bubbling and the figs are squidgy.

Mix together the crème fraîche and mint and serve with the figs.
