Crunchy Chocolate Pears

  • 150 g (5 oz) shop-bought Belgian chocolate sauce
  • 4 ripe, but firm pears, peeled, cored and halved
  • 4 scoops of good-quality chocolate ice cream
  • 75 g (3 oz) chocolate chip shortbread cookies, crumbled
  • Gently warm through the chocolate sauce in a saucepan.
  • Meanwhile, divide the pear halves between 4 serving dishes, then top each portion with 1 scoop of the ice cream.
  • Pour over the warmed chocolate sauce and top with the crumbled biscuits. Serve immediately.
