Camembert ‘Fondue’ with Honey and Walnuts

  • 1 small Camembert cheese, in a lidded box
  • 6 walnut halves, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons thyme leaves, plus extra time sprigs, to garnish
  • 2 tablespoons runny honey
  • crusty bread and vegetable crudités, to serve
  • Remove the cheese from its box and discard any paper or plastic wrapping. Slice off the top rind and replace the cheese in its box.
  • Sprinkle the surface of the cheese with the walnuts and thyme, and drizzle with the honey.
  • Replace the lid and place the box in the centre of a preheated oven, 220°C (425°F), Gas Mark 7, for 5–10 minutes. Depending on the ripeness of the cheese, it should be nicely runny inside when cooked.
  • Garnish with thyme sprigs and serve warm with crusty bread and vegetable crudités.
