Blueberry and Maple Smoothie

  • 6 bananas
  • 3 small handfuls of blueberries
  • 150 g (5 oz) fruit-and-nut muesli
  • 600 g (1 lb 3 1/2 oz) plain or fruit yogurt
  • 750 ml (1 1/4 pint) milk
  • 3–6 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
  • Place 2 bananas and a small handful of blueberries in the jug of a blender and add a third of the muesli, 200 g (7 oz) yogurt, 250 ml (8 fl oz) milk and 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup. Blend until smooth but thick, then pour into 2 tall glasses to serve. Repeat twice more to make 4 more smoothies.
  • Alternatively, if you do not own a blender, pour the muesli into 6 bowls, spoon over the yogurt and top with the sliced banana. Scatter over the blueberries, drizzle over the honey or maple syrup and serve with spoons as a filling breakfast.
