Special Diet

  • 1 whole Camembert cheese, about 200 g (7 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon clear honey
  • 2 teaspoons chopped thyme leaves, plus a few extra to garnish
  • 1 baguette, sliced
  • 250 g (8 oz) vine cherry tomatoes
  • 1 dessert apple or pear, cut into wedges
  • salt and black pepper

Put the Camembert on a baking sheet lined with foil. Drizzle over the oil and honey and scatter over the thyme and salt and pepper to taste.

Bake in a preheated oven, 200°C (400°F), Gas Mark 6, for 12–15 minutes until the cheese is sizzling and ready to burst through the skin.

Carefully transfer to a platter and serve with the bread, tomatoes and fruit to dip into the oozing cheese.
